the birds and the beads … joseph brooks jewelry.

The first time I met Joseph Brooks, he looked at me with his stunning, pool-blue eyes and said, “I’m the bird man!” And I knew he meant what he said because not only were his arms covered in tattoos of birds, but he recited  the names and locales where he has seen his favorite species.

The color story in Joseph Brooks’ jewelry echoes the vibrant, subtle and natural colors

Not only is he ‘the bird man’, he is a creator of bold, colorful and earthy jewelry made from natural, un-dyed beads hand-picked from his favorite turquoise mine in Arizona to sapphires sourced in Sri Lanka and banded agates found in Java. His beaded bracelets are an easy-to-wear addition to any collection and can be layered in your own personal color story.

Hailing from Far Rockaway, New York, the 1980’s brought Joseph to Hollywood where he was instrumental in helping to showcase U2, Depeche Mode, The Cure and Culture Club in the U.S. to getting Guns N Roses signed and introducing goth, electronica, and other dance music to the American underground.

160914_Joseph-Brooks-LeavesThank you for the color, spirit and inspired collection!
