The quiet, streamlined aesthetic in Rosanne Pugliese’s collection began while she was in the midst of a fashion career. Clean lines, sculptural shapes and strong, distinctive profiles became the common thread of her jewelry designs.
Each piece is worked one at a time by hand in her small Brooklyn studio.
“I aim for balance in fabricating jewelry with classic, elegant proportions, while keeping a certain earthy rawness derived from gentle finishing techniques…”
“My passion for jewelry making started in the midst of a career in the fashion world. I was greatly influenced while designing for Calvin Klein, honing my eye for choosing luxurious, sensuous materials and using them in clean, modern and sculptural forms.”
“Longtime collaboration with Toyo Kurokawa insures each piece leaves the workshop perfectly executed. We use recycled precious metals and conflict free gems.”
“While still inspired by the modern design movement, the best ideas come from spending time at the workbench combining the metal and gems until I find that balance of lightness and fluidity that I want the jewelry to convey.”
